James E. Jones, III is a second-generation Teamster. James started working for the United Parcel Service in 1990, where he served as a Steward for 12 years and the Chief Steward for 5 years. Before being elected as the Teamsters National Black Caucus (TNBC) Memphis Delta Chapter President, in 2016, James was the Vice-President for the Local 667.

James says, “being a Teamster Blue is in my blood”, his focus will be to excel as the TNBC Memphis Delta Chapter President and commit a change to his current and future members and the Memphis community.

He says his focus is to show passion, commitment, and determination to excel as the TNBC Memphis Delta Chapters President. He looks forward to leading the Local 667 with new goals for new education programs, group events, networking and seminars for members, and outreach programs to bring awareness in the workplace and the community.

James says 2020 has brought many changes and challenges; we will conquer and rebuild faith into the Memphis community to move forward into 2021 together with grace, dignity, and the determination for uplifting the community and employing change. The one thing that will never change is our dedication and loyalty to our current and future members.

As your TNBC Memphis Delta Chapter President, my goal is to be a powerful voice for the working-class families of Memphis.
